Gambling Support for Women
We understand that every woman’s experience of gambling and recovery is different. Our women’s support offer provides opportunities to connect with others, access treatment and find the support that feels right for you.
Whether you’re looking for peer support, exploring treatment options or finding out more about the support available, we’re here to help.
Women’s Peer Support Group
EmpowHer Together is a women-only recovery support group for women who have completed our treatment programme.
Facilitated by Luize and Elle, the group meets online via Microsoft Teams every other Wednesday at 5:30pm. Sessions provide a safe and supportive space to share experiences and connect with other women.
Topics vary from week to week and may include managing relationships, self-care, navigating frustrations in recovery and discovering new interests after gambling. We also offer drop-in groups where appropriate.
The group also plays an important role in helping us shape and improve our services for women, ensuring that lived experience informs the support we provide.
Treatment Options
We offer a choice of treatment options to help you find the approach that best suits your needs and circumstances. Where available, you can request a female clinician for your assessment and treatment.
Our treatment options include:
- Group treatment: Work towards recovery alongside others in a supportive group environment.
- One-to-one support: Receive individual support tailored to your needs.
- Self-directed digital therapy: Access online resources at any time to support your recovery independently.
We are committed to developing these options to make treatment more accessible to women. The experiences and insights shared by women in our peer support group will help shape these improvements.
Signposting and Additional Support
Where appropriate, we work closely with community organisations to help connect women with the services that best meet their needs.

Events and Getting Involved
Winter Meet-Up
We are planning an informal winter meet-up for members of our women’s peer support group, bringing everyone together at a mutually agreed central location around Christmas.
It will be an opportunity to catch up in person, share experiences and ideas, and connect with others in a friendly and supportive environment. Further details will be shared with the group once arrangements have been confirmed.
Focus Groups
We want to make sure our services reflect the needs and experiences of the women who use them.
We are developing opportunities for women to contribute to this work through focus groups and small discussions. By sharing your experiences and perspectives, you can help us understand what works well, identify where changes are needed and make our support more accessible to women in the future.
If you would like to get involved, please speak to our team to find out more.
